TEHRAN – Iran and the six major powers (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) resume nuclear talks in Vienna on Wednesday to start writing text of a final deal.

On April 2, Iran and the major powers signed a joint statement outlining the key points of a final nuclear pact.
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, European Union political director Helga Schmid, and U.S. Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman will conduct this session of talks.

Iran and the six major powers have set a July 1 deadline to reach a final agreement.

Prior to his visit to Indonesia on Tuesday, President Hassan Rouhani called the nuclear talks “progressive” and said a nuclear deal will “benefit all sides”
